Yesterday before everyone settled in to watch the underdog New Orleans Saints upset the Indianapolis Colts, we had our own big game at the Long Island University (LIU) Wellness Center in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Residents of Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, and Bedford-Stuyvesant came out to watch the LIU Blackbirds Women’s basketball team defeated the St. Francis Terriers of Brooklyn Heights 67-57.

The game was the main event of a Community Day Sports Event co-sponsored by City Councilmember Letitia James and LIU, where members of the three communities came out for an afternoon of exciting basketball and fun.
