Get Notified!
From upcoming meetings and events, to getting emergency alerts from New York City, lots of important information was shared at last night’s Community Board 2 general meeting.
*Debuted in 2007, Notify NYC is a City program designed to deliver emergency information and important City services to NYC residents. All participants are automatically registered to receive Emergency Alerts that will require them to TAKE ACTION. You can also receive notifications about significant events that do not require public action, such as:
- public health notifications
- public school notifications
- unscheduled parking rules suspensions
Register for the service here or call 311.
*The United States Census 2010 is testing candidates for clerical and field positions. Approximately two thousand positions, paying $13.50 -- $20.25 /hr, will be filled in our area. Testing ends May 1, 2010, so call 718-360-5150 today to schedule a test. You can find more information here.
*State Senator Daniel Squadron and Assembly Member Joan Millman announced that New York City will take over responsibility for the development and management of Brooklyn Bridge Park. Read the press release for more detail.
