Five Brooklyn Tech Players Go All-City
Antoine Cummins, Denzel McLarty, Oyeleye Odewunmi, Mike Plonski, and Tarrance Taylor players on the Brooklyn Tech football team were announced to the New York City Football Coaches Association all-city team on January 28th.
Cummins, an offensive guard and defensive tackle had 27 tackles and 2 sacks during the season.
McLarty, a running back and a linebacker was a PSAL player of the week during week 9. He had 753 yards over the season, 8 touchdowns, 7 2-point conversions. On defense, he had 1 interception, 2 fumble recoveries and 96 tackles. McLarty will be attending Bowdoin next fall.
Oyeleye Odewunmi, a cornerback, had an offensive touchdown, and a 85 yard kickoff return for a touchdown. On defense, he had 52 tackles and an interception. He will be attending Brown University on a full scholorship this fall.
Mike Plonski, a center and a defensive end, who is only a junior, had 57 tackles, 7 sacks, a fumble recovery and an interception.
Tarrance Taylor, a running back and a linebacker had 671 yards, 9 touchdowns, 1 2-point conversion, and on defense, an interception, 2 sacks, and 64 tackles.
